Fundraising EventIt’s that time of year again! When friends old and new gather together to...
Join us Tuesday March 26th from 6-8pm, for a lively and engaging panel discussion and exhibition to celebrate the ten mentor-mentee pairs who have just completed our first-ever mentorship program! Please RSVP here for this free event.
Learn about the various mentorship activities each pair engaged in over the course of this program. Mentors and mentees worked in a wide variety of disciplines including painting, poetry, furniture making, ceramics, writing, dance, and more! Hear about the challenges and successes of their mentorship journey and see some examples of completed and in progress work by the mentees.
We will also share a 3-minute video by David Rendall of Heliograph Media which explains the value of the program and shows clips of some of the mentor pairs at work.
“It was a particular pleasure for me to mentor a young aspiring actor whose talent, passion and enthusiasm rekindled the joy I had experienced as an acting instructor many years ago. I was reminded of what a privilege it is to have the opportunity to nurture and encourage our next generation of storytellers! I also very much enjoyed being part of a larger group of mentors/mentees from a wide range of artistic disciplines: the opportunity to share our thoughts, our stories and some of what we do as artists within our chosen fields was very rewarding.” ~ Joan McBride, Mentor
This program is funded by the Government of Ontario through a Seniors’ Community Grant. We thank them for their support!
Mentorship pairs for this program include:
Kamee Abrahamian & Gemma Barrett
Joan McBride & Julianna Tyers
Rhonda Nolan & Thomas Harrison
Andrea Piller & Michelle Kosoy
Bill Stearman & Arwyn Carpenter

Please note, not all mentors and mentees will be in attendance for this event.
