County Arts Indigenous Voices Fund 2025-26 Grant Recipients / Host Sarah Moran interviews Gin Sexsmith & O Green about their work and artistry / Aired on 99.3 FM on March 27, 2026
Gin Sexsmith: “I have been a writer my whole life, even as a little kid I was always either writing songs or writing stories… over lockdown, I shifted focus and started writing a novel, and that’s kept me busy for the past few years. But I’ve missed my first love of songwriting and performing, so I’ve just recently gotten back into that.”
O Green: “Music’s been a big part of my life ever since I can remember. [My family was] very musical… I didn’t really get into songwriting until about a year and a half-two years ago, but I’ve played the guitar since I was nine. Songwriting is a very natural process for me… I always say [to people], ‘I feel like it’s been written since [I was] a kid.'”
