The Early Fall session at the County Arts Lab is now open for registration, with some exciting new courses and a few returning favourites! There are courses in painting, drawing, writing, photography and so much more, whether you are a beginner or a pro these courses and workshops will be fun, informative and will get your creative juices flowing!
Julie Seddon is returning to teach Colour as a form of Expression, a 6-week course on Wednesday afternoons for anyone looking to learn more about colour theory through art history, exercises and studies. Zac Kenny‘s 5-week Abstract Painting for Beginners course on Thursday evenings is now SOLD OUT, however, there is a waitlist.
Irene Götz also returns with her incredible Drawing for Absolute Beginners Course for 5-weeks on Tuesday evenings. Tom Feiler will be leading a 6-week course, Intro to Portrait Photography, and Jeremy Smith will lead a Wee Course on Short Plays for 6-weeks on Tuesday mornings.
For the kids, Amanda Smith returns with another Pattern and Surface Design course but this time with Nature based-materials for our Saturday morning Kids’ Creation Club.
And we have three exciting workshops this session, Sara Keller is back with an Experimental Photography Wet Cyanotype Workshop on September 15th, Lucy Sterezylo will lead a paper Marbling workshop on September 18th and Kathryn Bondy is joining us to teach a 2-day Paper Wild Rose workshop on September 26th and 27th. Thanks to the generosity of three local funders, Art Together will be run throughout 2024 by an amazing team of both new and returning Artist Facilitators – Gwen Shandroski, Kaya Joan, Frank Hannan, and Lucy Sterezylo – along with the wonderful Sharon Hart, our Well-Being Support Worker! Art Together takes place on alternating Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoons beginning on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024.
