Lucy Sterezylo produces small batch greeting cards, art prints, notebooks and other paperworks that are thoughtfully designed and printed using moveable type, linocuts and the occasional polymer plate.
I appreciate the thoughtful and repetitive process of letterpress printing, from contemplating words and images to experimenting with papers and inks. Using vintage presses and carefully hand-setting wood and metal type, I’m proud to be a part of a craft that has so impacted our history. The precision and crispness of the printing process contrasts beautifully against the clutter and grit of the print studio. For me, this creates a kind of harmony that keeps me inspired.
