Early Fall at the County Arts Lab

Our Early Fall session at the County Arts Lab kicks off in just over a week! The Lab, conveniently located in the Picton Armoury building, offers arts programming for all ages. To make sure courses are accessible to everyone, sliding scale pricing is available, as well as art supply kits upon request, and bursaries for children and youth participants.

Kids’ Programming

• Our ever popular Kids’ Creation Club for young visual artists returns, with a unique Art Journaling course taught by Angela Lavender on Saturday mornings – 9:30-10:45 (ages 5-8) and 11:15-12:30 (ages 9-12)
• We can hardly contain our excitement for our new kids’ music and dance offering – Songwriting and Creative Dance led by Kat Burns and Arwyn Carpenter! The ages 5-7 class is sold out (you can still join the waitlist!) but there is still room in the ages 9-12 class (10:45-11:45, Sunday mornings)

Adult / Youth Programming

• Sherry Heyliger returns with a 4-week Beginner and Intermediate Acrylic Pouring course on Saturday afternoons (15+)
• Bethany Garner is joining us for a 4-week Cloth Colouring and Hand-Stitching course on Sunday afternoons (only 1 spot left!) (18+, 13+ welcome if accompanying an adult)
• Catelyn Thornton is offering a unique 6-week Creative Movement course on Wednesday mornings for adults (18+)
• Aidan Haley will be leading a Landscape Sketching Workshop (18+) on two Tuesday mornings – with one session in the County Arts Lab and one outdoors in a beautiful Prince Edward County setting!
• Participants will “collage a home” in Hedy Campbell‘s Mixed Media Collage workshop (18+) on Sunday October 30th
