Guildworks hosts a half-day weaving workshop for beginners. Michelle Chasson from Roving Textiles will guide students through basic techniques and patterns used in modern weaving. Participants will learn everything they need to know to complete their first wall hanging. There will be physical examples to evoke some inspiration and to see a finished product. Students will be able to choose from a variety of merino wool fibre packs designed for the class. This class is suitable for complete beginners.
After the workshop, participants will take home their very own weaving kit, which includes a Roving Textiles weaving loom and all tools necessary to create a wall hanging, also a digital workbook is provided.
