The Art Kitchen is a free weekly drop-in artmaking group at London Avenue Park in Macaulay Village, Picton (The Heights) hosted by The Department of Illumination. All are welcome to join for artistic expression, healthy snacks and feel-good community vibes. Bring a creative project to work on or make use of their art supplies. Don’t know what to work on? Our team of artists are happy to help guide you through a project. This is an all-ages group, kids and teens most welcome!
The Art Kitchen runs on Mondays (except for Holiday Mondays) from 5-7 PM throughout summer until the end of September. Art Kitchen is run by the ever-amazing and talented program leaders Nella Casson and Sharon Hart. Plus, thanks to a new partnership with COUNTY KIDS READ, there will be free books for children and youth!
Bring a chair or blanket to sit on or to get comfy with. In case of rain the program will run as scheduled, relocating to The Department of Illumination studio in the lower level of The Armoury, 206 Main St. Picton – check DOI social media for updates.
