We Are Rainbows Girls: A Collective Portrait of Strength

Come join the Reaching for Rainbows team as we share “We are Rainbows Girls: A Collective Portrait of Strength”, portrait Exhibit in partnership with photographer Becky Hinch.

Storytelling is a key component of this project. Working with 11 different women helped us bring the idea to life from the sentiment: “I wish I had a program like that when I was a girl.” The portraits show each woman holding a picture of herself as a child.

The exhibit is an opportunity to see the magic of the Rainbows playroom, get in touch with your inner child and to celebrate the bravery of our models in sharing their stories for the benefit of the girls we work with. Our hope is that these portraits will help the community see themselves in the program and feel connected to the work we do with the girls by knowing the next generation has that safe space.
