In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Regent Theatre in association with Prince Edward Public Library are pleased to present multi-award winning Indigenous folk duo Twin Flames.
Husband and wife duo Jaaji & Chelsey June, of Nunavut and Ottawa respectively, combine traditional Indigenous storytelling and music with western harmonies to entertain audiences of all ages.
They perform original songs written in English, Inuttitut and French about courage and survival which honour their ancestor’s and cultural history. Their award-winning music offers a unique blend of different musical styles and traditions. Twin Flames have released three full length albums and been nominated for 25 music awards.
Taking place June 24th at 2 PM at The Regent Theatre, this 60-minute concert will be followed by a Q&A with the artists.
The concert will feature an introduction by Haudenosaunee Grandmother Kathy Brant, and will be live-streamed to those unable to attend in-person. This event is supported by the County Museums which will be offering an exhibit on the Indigenous history of PEC between 10 AM – 4PM on June 24th.
Tickets for both the live show and live-stream can be purchased at theregenttheatre.org.
