The 10 x 10 Art Show: Call for Artists

Be a part of the biggest show of small art in The County! It’s the third year of the wild and wonderful 10 x 10 Art Show, and this year’s exhibition will take place at Maison Depoivre Art Gallery at Base31 from August 2nd-26th, 2024. This event is a fundraiser for The Department of Illumination, a not-for-profit arts organization.

Artists are invited to purchase a 10” x 10” wooden panel from The Department of Illumination and create an artwork in any medium, any subject, any style. Panels are $15 (HST incl.), payable by cash, credit, debit, or e-transfer to krista@deptofillumination.org. There are no holds unless already paid for.

All artworks will be for sale for $110 + HST.

Sales will be split: $60 to The Department of Illumination, $30 to the artist, $20 to Maison Depoivre.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Buy your panel(s)! Panels are available for pick-up at The Department of Illumination studio in the lower level of the Armoury, Picton, on Tuesdays 1-4 and Wednesdays 10-12, or at the Picton Town Hall Farmers Market Sunday May 19 from 9-2, while supplies last. You can buy as many panels as you wish. Can’t make it during those times? Contact hri@deptofillumination.org to make other arrangements.

July 28th-29th, 11 AM to 4 PM. Drop off finished artwork at The DOI studio. If you can’t make it during this time, contact hri@deptofillumination.org to make other arrangements.

August 2nd: Opening reception for 10 x 10 Art Show. DOI members get early access!

August 26th: Show closes, and all artworks are to be picked up from Maison Depoivre.
