The Night the Blues were Born by Daniel Solomon

Hatch Gallery presents new works by Canadian abstract painters Daniel Solomon, Ann Clark, and Douglas Bentham from September 9 to October 3. Opening reception is on September 11 from 1-4PM.

Daniel Solomon is a Toronto-based artist and Professor Emeritus of Art at the Ontario College of Art and Design. His career spans over forty years and began when he studied architecture at the University of Oregon in the early 1960s.

Ann Clarke has been living and exhibiting in Canada for more than 50 years after graduating from the Slade School of Fine Art at the University of London in 1966. In 2008 Clarke was elected to membership of the Royal Canadian Academy of Art.

Douglas Bentham has maintained an international reputation as a major practitioner of abstract, constructivist sculpture for over forty years, graduating with a BA Advanced degree in painting from the University of Saskatchewan in 1969.
