We wear our skirts to honor our ancestors and stay connected to our roots. Our skirts will then bring us patience, pride, and remind us of the relationship we have together here on mother earth.
This class is for people who are experienced with sewing. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or please indicate when registering if you need one made available for you. All materials will be provided.
Light lunch and drink will be provided (corn soup, breads, and strawberry drink). Participants are welcome to bring their own food and drink, if there are any allergy concerns.
The workshop will be held from 10 AM – 4 PM on September 30th at the Baxter Arts Centre, 3 Stanley St, Bloomfield.
Cost (all-inclusive) is $85.00/person. Registration is limited to 10 participants. To secure your place in the workshop, please email your name and contact information AND send an e-Transfer in the amount of $85.00 to maraclebrandie49@gmail.com.
The Ribbon Skirt Workshop will be hosted by Brandie Maracle, owner of Rez Girl Creations (facebook.com/Rez.girl.Creations), and Sharon Hart, member of the Baxter Arts Centre.
