Kareen Hague’s explorations of natural landscapes have shaped her connection to Ontario. She captures the essence of Ontario’s beauty — from the serene stillness of our lakes to the wild vibrancy of the fields and flowers. By layering textures and many marks of colour, she seeks to evoke not just the visual aspects of these environments, but the emotional experience of being immersed in them. Water, flowers, and the shifting horizon lines are not depicted literally, but through a lens of imagination. Each piece reflects nature’s harmony, its quiet moments and bursts of life.
Kareen’s work invites the viewer to step into these landscapes and encourage, through memory and emotion, a deeper connection to the world around us.
