Sit down with artist and activist Christine Renaud to learn about her upcoming Publish Your Own Zine workshop for young adults. Zines can be a powerful grassroots, DIY means of printed communication that have an interesting, and unusual history. The short presentation will focus on how the workshop can engage youth in local issues and empower them through creative self-expression.
This presentation, a part of the Baxter Arts Centre’s In Conversation With… series, will include a talk by the artist and a thirty-minute Q&A where you can ask questions about the class to see if it is something you might enjoy!
This free talk will be held in Picton, at the Prince Edward Learning Centre, 97 Main Street, Unit 10 Rexall Plaza, Picton.
Doors open at 6:30 PM. Talk begins at 7 PM, ends at 8:30 PM.
