Bridging Communities is a large-scale art installation, where community members are using crocheted knit and fibre to cover downtown Belleville’s Upper Front Street Bridge. Over the past year, participants from Trenton, Picton, Belleville and Kingston have already created enough stripes, blocks and patterns to cover the Bridge’s pillars.
Open to adults and youth, experienced and beginner crocheters, families and friends, these crochet circles are hosted by local artist, Emebet Belete. All workshops are free to attend, and yarn is provided.
