SaraLou Miller

Ornament is my passion. I am a textile,  jewelry and paper mache artist.

I love Historical, ancient and whimsical, combined, separate or with a twist. My love of these media is reflected in the costume-art sculpture figures and the paper mache figures that I am currently creating. I start with a dress form, it is my canvas; my fabric is my paint, trims and accessories, some are found, some handmade by me; my imagination goes and then I create.

For my paper mache, I find interesting objects for my armature and work from there. My process is always evolving as I work on a piece.

I received an Art in the County Juror’s Choice Award in 2015 and 2017 for two of my costume sculptures.
