In my retirement, my life long love of learning continues with a focus on any aspect of textiles, although my first love is hand weaving. I have recently pursued hand dyeing my yarn and playing with colour, to create unique pieces.
I have attended numerous classes and workshops at the Vavstuga Weaving School in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts as well as at conferences and local guilds.
Materials used in my work include wool, silk, sari silk, tencel, cotton, bamboo and combinations of these. Recycled articles are sometimes used as well. My pieces include shawls, scarves, rugs, blankets and yardage.
After years of much inspiration through travel, I now love to nest in my home in beautiful and charming Prince Edward County where I continue to learn and create each day in my studio.
