Jamie Janx Johnston
Internationally awarded, published & exhibited photographically based multi-medium artist, with in-depth technical knowledge of the fine art world. Successful as an art educator with the National Gallery of Canada and workshop artist/educator with CEAO (Centre d’excellence artistique de l’Ontario). His understanding of multiple mediums has allowed him to be a lead production artist with numerous clients and artists, including Heritage Canada, the National Capital Commission, Concrete Canvas, Free for All Walls, Station16, Bon Eco, Festival Mural, LNDMRK and many others. His expertise has helped create numerous artistic landmarks across the Canadian landscape. Showcase his skills, knowledge and execution to perform urban art in a rural setting and vice versa. Since 1999 he has always put the art and the artist first to bring the best results to any project he’s involved in.
Jamie uses his photography as stencils, silhouette and references to overlay the images to the location, providing bold contrast and mythical scenes to present his photography as street art.
