Jamie Janx Johnston is an award-winning, internationally published photographer with artistic and technical knowledge in many fine arts. It is through this knowledge that he’s found success as an arts educator, notably at the National Gallery of Canada, Leave Out Violence (L.O.V.E. Québec), as well as his ongoing residency as an artist/educator at the Centre d’excellence Artistique de l’Ontario. With a focus on Art Education with at risk youth.
He is on the artist roster for Station16 in Montreal and also exhibits his works at Jackson’s Falls in Prince Edward County in Ontario. His understanding of many mediums has allowed him to be a production lead & artist with organizations such as Montreal Mural Festival, LNDMRK, Station 16, Bon Eco and many others. Permitting his expertise to help create numerous artistic landmarks in the Canadian landscape.
Jamie uses his photography as stencils, silhouette and references to overlay the images to the location, providing bold contrast and mythical scenes to present his photography as street art.
