My art is inspired by accidental exploration, intentional observation, and loads of incredible people. Structure and detail fascinate and inform me as much as the abstractions of a foggy morning. Drawing and painting have been lifelong excuses to go somewhere and quietly work. I have never been able to decide if I prefer to work imaginative, bold whimsical scenes or close careful studies of things. So, I do both.
I have done illustration work. In my previous side gig as a librarian I have given drawing workshops to children and adults, and facilitated talks by other visual and performing artists at the Toronto Reference Library. I am a graduate of OCAD University. I enjoy working with many different media but mostly I love to draw.
