Ellen is a self-taught, lifelong artist born in St. Catharines currently living in Wellington. Her artistic goal is to always push her creative limits in as many forms of media as possible.
Over her lifetime, art and creative output has always been her number one passion and pursuit. She began painting with oils in the 1970’s and her art has evolved into multi-faceted forms with watercolour and alcohol-based inks, plastic sculpture and paper creations. Ellen is always open to experimentation.
Her inspirations are vast: capturing nature, abstract and whimsical takes on people, places and things. Each piece is unique, conveys its own emotion and story, and is always one of a kind. Ellen describes herself as a passionate creator who would happily spend every waking moment in her studio pursuing something new and beautiful.
Ellen is grateful to be a member of the Prince Edward County Arts Council, along with so many other talented artists. She looks forward to being more involved in the arts community in Prince Edward County.
