Dayna Shereck, originally from Toronto, took her songwriting passion to Nashville 12 years ago and began writing with Nashville-based publisher Dan Hodges Music, a relationship which has nurtured a network of strong songwriting collaborations.
She has since been a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition for 2012, 2013, 2014, as well as a Finalist in 2014.
Dayna released her first EP “Suitcase Full of Dreams” in 2015, and had her first film placement that same year with a song called “Whadaya Say” placed in “On The Wing” starring Shirley Jones. Her co-written songs have been placed on several independent albums with radio play throughout Canada and the US.
Dayna was the Songworks Co-Chair in 2017, participating in a pro-writing camp in the Songwriters Association of Canada. Her co-written songs include writers such as (Dave “Dwave” Thompson, Clayton Bellamy, Troy Kokol and Dan Davidson) and producer Russel Broom (Sam Roberts, Jann Arden). Dayna released her sophomore EP “Chasing The Moon” in January, 2018. Her singles “Two Feet On The Ground”, “Chasing The Moon”, “Hard To Forget”, “The Missing Part”, and “Dress Rehearsal” all received radio play nationally with CBC Country/ SiriusXM. Her producer is the award-winning J. Richard Hutt (Tom Cochrane, The Northern Pikes). Her song “Stoned” was released in early 2023 by Texas-based trifecta artist Case Hardin (American Idol Semi-Finalist) and is climbing the charts in the state of Texas.
Dayna continues to spend her time writing and collaborating with other songwriters and artists in the US and Canada, and has recently opened Evermore Guest House in Picton, ON, which she hopes to use and rent out part of the year as a songwriters/artists retreat.
