I am torn between the world of ‘Sonics’ and the world of ‘Visuals’. My late uncle once coined a maxim that reads:
“Notation’s essence is non-essentiality.” This best describes my reach for the absurd, the banal, the real and the pretty.
My disciplines (in order of recently practiced) are digital photography and video production, music production, drawing / painting and softoleum printing.
I have traveled across Canada and have mainly focused my lens on the landscapes of Ontario and Newfoundland. Overall I can best be described as a multimedia artist.
After my experience as a professional percussionist in my early years, I became a high school teacher of visual arts and sociology with the Toronto District School Board. Now retired, I travel between my home studio in Prince Edward County and my ocean front studio in Burin, Newfoundland.
My website acts more as an audio / visual autobiography than an online gallery. Please feel free to peruse.
