Applications are now open for the 21st edition of The Maker’s Hand! Presented annually by the Prince Edward County Arts Council, The Maker’s Hand is a prestigious fine craft show featuring a wide range of established and up-and-coming artisans from across Ontario and Quebec.
This year’s show will take place November 7th-9th, 2025 at the County Arts Lab! Located in the historic Armoury Building at the heart of Picton’s bustling Main Street, this year’s edition will feature 25 booths inside the County Arts Lab, in the adjoining Armoury Atrium, and outdoor courtyard.
With a new venue comes new hours – as Picton attracts shoppers and diners from across the region, opening hours on Friday, November 7th will be from 1-8 PM. Artists will have the opportunity to set-up on Thursday afternoon, or Friday morning. The show will be open on Saturday from 10 AM – 5 PM and Sunday from 10 AM – 4 PM, with takedown happening from 4-6 PM on Sunday afternoon.
Applicants must self-identify as a professional artist (see Canada Council for the Arts’ definition) and present functional, conceptual, or sculptural work that exhibits originality and technical excellence. Visual artists are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to fine craft artists. The Maker’s Hand does not accept consumable products in the show, nor do we accept soaps & bath products, or candles.
Further eligibility criteria and venue details are available at themakershand.com. The application deadline is April 15th, 2025. Please direct questions about the show, or the application process to makershand@countyarts.ca.
