Mad Dog Gallery presents an exhibition of paintings by Susan Straiton from August 17th-September 7th, 2024.
Susan Straiton comes from a family of artists who, along with a number of attentive art teachers, immersed her in a life dedicated to the visual arts. From an early age, she spent hours drawing, often accompanying her parents on sketching outings, and lived in a home filled with art books, paintings, sculpture, and the raw materials for animated film-making.
Many of Straiton’s canvasses deal with correlating forms. Others deal with the encroachment of civilization on nature. Her paintings have been accepted into many juried art exhibitions, winning awards in the traditional oil category in both standard and miniature formats. She has mounted several well-received solo shows, and been included in even more group shows in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, and Texas. Susan is represented by Mad Dog Gallery.
Stay tuned to Mad Dog Gallery’s social media for further updates. Open daily from 10 AM – 5 PM. 525 County Road 11, Picton.
