Oeno Gallery‘s winter show, SURFACES: Real & Imagined, continues throughout December until January 28th, 2024.
In this group show, an eclectic group of fine contemporary artists—painters, sculptors, glass artists, fibre artists and ceramicists express their vision by skillfully using texture.
What you see ‘on the surface’ — the visual tactile quality of artwork is a hint at the magic that lies beneath the work both real and imagined. Texture — how a piece of art actually feels to the touch or appears to feel can spark the imagination of the viewer. Texture brings the subject to life. It can evoke a feeling. It can add depth, energy, and dimension. Texture helps tell the artist’s story for each piece.
Oeno Gallery has also launched their Call for Outdoor Sculpture proposals, inviting artists to submit proposals for the Sculpture Garden’s 12th exhibition year. All sculptures must be original, durable, and safe for viewing by the public in an unsupervised natural area. Proposals must be submitted by February 5th, 2024 at noon. Click here for full details.
