Solar Eclipse Extravaganza

Join The Department of Illumination for a Solar Eclipse Extravaganza at The Waring House, an unforgettable celestial celebration for the whole family! Everyone will be provided with eclipse viewing glasses, and there will be a decorating station to add some extra bling to them.

An Astronomy Ambassador from Queen’s University will be on hand to tell you all about the eclipse, there will be lawn games and activities, and a special experience crafted by The DOI to make your eclipse viewing even MORE magical! An eclipse-themed menu will be available featuring treats and beverages inspired by the cosmos. Share this special occasion together as a community!

TIME: Noon to 4 PM (eclipse starts at 3:31 PM)
LOCATION: The Waring House, 395 Sandy Hook Road, Picton
TICKETS: $10 advance/$12 at the door – children are FREE! To book in advance, call (613) 476-7492.

In case of rain, the celebration will take place in the hall; in case of cloud cover there will be a live feed from NASA.
