Shapeshifting
Shapeshifting, installation by Rhonda Nolan.

Shapeshifting is a site-specific art installation located on the grounds of The Eddie Hotel & Farm, as part of Flight: PEC’s Festival of Contemporary Dance, presented by Festival Players.

Artist Rhonda Nolan questions our ability to change. As we have all come out to another world after over two years of the pandemic, we must find a way to change, to accept and to find happiness together.

Another intriguing work of art which grapples with a topic relevant to today, the Artist has used her storytelling technique and has designed a stage within a stage to see a performance. Always with an eye to the future and thinking of sustainability, the recycled fridge becomes the stage.

Also, don’t miss costumes and props designed by the Artist for the Selkie performance on the pond during the Festival. 6 wild dancers, live musicians, and cool costumes – the Selkies tell the story of legendary shapeshifters while balancing on paddleboards – hopefully without falling in!
