On June 25th from 1:30-3:30 PM, Glenwood Chapel will be hosting a gala book launch of stained glass artist Sarah Hall’s new book: Glenwood Chapel – Secret Societies and Their Stained Glass.
Sarah studied architectural glass in Canada, the UK and the Middle East before establishing her own studio in Toronto in 1980. She was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada on December 28, 2019. Her work comprises contemporary art glass at an architectural scale.
Over the past forty years she has created hundreds of large-scale artworks for public, private, and institutional settings. In the process she has gained international recognition for her creativity, uncompromising artistry, and the innovative use of solar technology in architectural glass.
The book launch will feature a demonstration of glass techniques and tour of the windows. These one-of-a-kind windows are filled with the signs and symbols of the fraternal societies who donated them in 1901. For more information, please click here. Light refreshments and signed books are available. All are welcome.
