Mad Dog Gallery presents a collection of new paintings by Andrew King inspired by the great Canadian summer roadtrip vacations of his youth. With vast distances between destinations, the summer roadtrip always seemed to include cheesy motels and their enticing pools, games in the car, and stops for ice cream and fast food.
Reminiscing on shouts of “Are we there yet!?” from the back seat of a car without air conditioning, or passing the time with in-car games, this solo show of new paintings reflects the nostalgia and memories of the great Canadian summer roadtrip, to Prince Edward County’s beaches, or places beyond.
On exhibition from July 27th-August 10th, 2024. 525 County Road 11, Picton.
