Plein Air Abstraction with Pamela Mayhew

Slow down and settle into two very different and truly unique art experiences at SHED Chetwyn Farms, a picturesque alpaca farm in the heart of Prince Edward County with award winning Canadian artist and professional arts instructor Pamela Mayhew.

Pamela will be hosting a mini Moods of the County/Plein Air Abstraction workshop on Saturday, July 13th from 11 AM-2PM. Pamela will be on hand to offer coaching, guidance and encouragement throughout the three hour self-guided Plein Air painting opportunity. This is a chance to experience the enjoyment of painting outdoors with a group of like-minded artists immersed in the farm landscape. Pack up your art supplies and join Pam in the field this summer at Chetwyn Farms.

Participants must bring their own materials for this mini-workshop, including folding chairs and easels if using.

Pamela will also be hosting a full Plein Air Abstraction workshop from 10 AM-3PM on Saturday, August 10th, guiding participants in creating three oil sketches which may be finished or even used as studies for larger pieces. Workshop fee includes two gessoed panels 8” x 10” and 1 panel 16” x 20”. Students are required to bring basic oil painting kit of white, grey and the three primary oil colours and selection of brushes, along with a folding chair and easel if using.
