Give a Little Bit

Also on at Melt for the month of December is “Fishing,” a contemplative exhibition of paintings by visual artist Autumn Ducharme, running from December 6th–29th, 2024. Inspired by her environment and concepts of home, Autumn’s work explores the relationships between living beings, land, and water, using collage and improvised methods to evoke deep, reflective states. These paintings are inspired by a recent trip to Brazil, where Ducharme volunteered at a reforestation project in the mountains. This exhibition seeks to raise awareness of the climate challenges impacting Brazilian communities, from extreme droughts in the Amazon to severe flooding in Southern Brazil.

All are invited to the opening receptions of “Give a Little Bit” and “Fishing” on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 from 1–4 PM.
