June is Pride month, a time when LGBTQ2S+ communities around the world celebrate the freedom to be known, heard, understood and respected. This year with everything happening in the world it is important to remember there is hope. The theme of Pride 2023 is “The Next Generation, Our Future.”
To honour the month, the Quinte Arts Council is posting a call to artists for submissions to the show. This show is open to all. Artists are invited to share photographs or art that reflects, respects, features and speaks to the LGBTQ2S+ community. Submissions are open until May 31st.
The intention is to foster new connections with artists in the LGBTQ2S+ community in Quinte to provide a place for them to showcase and celebrate their art; because, everyone deserves a place under the rainbow.
The show will run June 8th-30th. Drop off is June 1st and pick up is July 4th.
