Encaustic Painting Workshop

Andrew Csafordi introduces workshop participants to the ancient technique of painting with warm beeswax. Encaustic painting is a very friendly medium, the fast drying time allows one to create captivating works that will ignite imagination. It begins with a warm liquid wax applied to a wooden surface with brushes, each layer is then gently fused using heat, resulting in a luminescent painting. The results will delight and surprise participants! Visitors will relax and be inspired while painting in a casual studio environment in the tranquil countryside. Create and take home several works and lasting memories! No experience necessary. The two-day Encaustic Painting Workshop fee is $395 (plus HST) and includes a workbook, all materials, light refreshments and snacks.
