Early Spring at the County Arts Lab

Artscene March 2026 Edition

Early Spring at the County Arts Lab
Hone your skills or learn something new in our Early Spring session at the County Arts Lab!

With longer days ahead, we are excited for our Early Spring session at the County Arts Lab! We have some returning favourites and new courses and workshops you won’t want to miss!

Looking to strengthen your portrait drawing or deepen your writing practice? Bogdan Luca returns with Portraiture: Drawing Insights, and by popular demand, Allison Nichol Longtin’s Writing Life Into Being is back for another session—welcoming both returning and new participants. Explore environmental and conceptual portraiture, as well as candid and street photography approaches, with Tommy Feiler in Introduction to Portrait Photography. Or dive into colour and composition with Building a Painting in Acrylics with Julie Seddon!

For the kids, Julie Seddon returns for Kids’ Creation Club: Spring into Spring! Kids will explore a variety of materials and techniques to create vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by artists like Mondrian, Klimt, and Georgia O’Keeffe. They will learn about colour, composition, and creative expression!

And don’t miss our lineup of workshops including returns with Experimental Cinema: A Creative Intensive Workshop with Kamee Abrahamian, Intro to Broom Making: Turkey Wing and Hawk Tail with Eve Harvey of Besom, Pastel Still Lifes with Zeena Sileem, and Collages for a Transition of Time with Gwen Shandroski.

For March Break, there are still a few spots left in Wild Beasts! Painting Workshop on Saturday March 14th for kids aged 7-13!
