Dior Quartet

BIGLAKE Arts is excited to welcome back Dior Quartet, the young and vibrant string quartet in residence at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. This talented ensemble specializes in both contemporary and classical repertoire.

In this performance, they will feature cornerstone composers of the quartet repertoire, including Haydn, Schubert, and Mendelssohn. Additionally, we are thrilled to introduce a brand-new commissioned work by composer Israel Lai, the winner of the 2024 Musicus Call for Scores. He is travelling from the UK to attend the premiere performance of his piece, which was especially written for this concert.

The Dior Quartet performs Thursday, February 20th, 2025 at the Drake Devonshire Pavilion, 24 Wharf Street, Wellington.
