County Arts Lab

Welcome to your new creative home in the County! Located in the heart of Picton on the ground floor of the Armoury Building, the County Arts Lab is a dedicated arts space for County creatives to meet, teach, create, and explore with their peers and the community at large.

Our vision for the Lab’s programming is artist-driven and community-centered. We believe that arts participation should be affordable, accessible, and inclusive for all members of the community, and will help make this a reality in a number of ways, including by:

• Implementing a sliding scale fee system for arts classes
• Raising funds for a bursary program for children’s arts classes
• Raising funds to purchase Art Supply Kits for visual arts classes
• Offering free meeting space to Arts Organization members for arts activities
• Offering free participatory arts programming for residents at greater risk of social and mental health challenges
