The Department of Illumination and Carbon Art & Design have teamed up to create the biggest show of small art – the 10 x 10 Art Show!
2022 marks The Department of Illumination’s 10th anniversary, and the not-for-profit is holding a series of fundraisers to help ensure the organization’s long-term stability. Over the last decade, The Department of Illumination has become a much-loved presence in the County, with arts events such as The Firelight Lantern Festival, The Scarecrow Festival, ICE BOX, ALVAR, Join our Herd, Safety Dance, and more.
The 10 x 10 ART SHOW is an invitation to the creative community to be a part of the DOI’s fundraising efforts. There are 110 wooden panels available measuring 10” x 10”, and artists may purchase panels for $10 each from Carbon Art & Design, located at 281B Main St, Picton (down the alley beside Books & Company). Fall hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11-5 and Sundays 11-4. Panels are still available while supplies last.
Artworks must be submitted by November 12, and can be any medium, subject or style, as long as it’s created on the panel.
The 10 x 10 ART SHOW will take place at Carbon Art & Design from November 18 – December 4, 2022. All artworks will be for sale for $110. Sales will be split: $50 to The Department of Illumination, $30 to the artist, $30 to Carbon.
