Bark Woodshop & Studio

Bark Woodshop & Studio is a boutique woodworking shop and studio located along the wine route in Hillier. Specializing in end-grain cutting boards, charcuterie boards and wood items, their one-of-a-kind pieces created here in Prince Edward County capture the abstract beauty of the wood as well as being elegantly functional. 

Bark Woodshop & Studio is also a new member of the Prince Edward County Arts Trail as of 2022. Mike and his wife, Susan, along with their two friendly golden retrievers are happy to welcome visitors to their Wood Studio, open daily from 11 AM until 5 PM.

Mike’s woodworking journey began when he was watching his great uncle, a Master Carpenter, work in his woodshop in Thunder Bay when Mike was a child. Mike’s skills were then honed over the years, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty and textures found in the wood he was working with.

Eventually, Mike decided to turn his love of woodworking into a career and opened Bark Woodshop & Studio, where he creates custom furniture and other wooden objects that are both beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of art, as well as functional for the home.
