100 Proof

Carbon Art & Design presents 100 Proof, a solo show featuring fun and interactive new work by Nell Casson. The show runs June 2-26 with an opening reception on June 2 from 5-9 PM.

Nell is a long-time PEC-based artist with an Art & Art History Degree, with Honours, from the University of Toronto. A multi-disciplinary artist, Nell works in textiles, illustration, woodworking and mixed media sculpture. In recent years she has created numerous immersive installations exhibited in Prince Edward County – interactive works that aim to surprise and delight viewers of all ages. Casson’s installations have been exhibited as part of the DiscARTed art show, The Firelight Lantern Festival, and at ICE BOX, a public art festival in Picton produced by The Department of Illumination. Casson’s ICE BOX installations have been immersive works featuring large embroidered pieces and hands-on play areas. Casson also received the 2020 County Arts Public Art grant for her piece Looking Out, Looking Up.

Carbon Art & Design is open 11 AM-5 PM Tuesdays-Saturdays and 11 AM-4 PM Sundays through the summer season.
