Feeling stuck, unsure where to begin, or struggling to move a painting forward? Join artist-instructor Julie Seddon for a supportive, motivating 2-day workshop designed to help you start – or restart – your painting practice!
Beginning exactly where you are, this workshop focuses on your individual goals through group discussions, critiques, and one-on-one coaching. Participants will explore colour mixing, composition, and paint handling while also considering meaning, intention, and feeling to help develop a more confident and personal approach to painting.
Bring a source image you’ve been wanting to paint or a stalled work you’re ready to revisit. Additional source materials and canvases will be available for those interested in experimenting. Open to curious beginners and experienced painters alike. Everyone is welcome.
Age range – 18+
2-day Workshop: Monday August 24 & Tuesday August 25, 2026 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Location – The County Arts Lab, Unit 2E, Picton Armoury Building
