A free Creative Writing Workshop Series is taking place at Macaulay House, Wednesdays April 16th, 23rd, and 30th, 2025 from 6:30–8:30 PM.
April is Poetry Month! Writers will have the range of this gracious pre-Confederation County house to write in, in response to creative prompts offered by local writer Jane Macdonald. Come for one or all three evenings. Experienced or new writers are welcome. This is a no-charge event sponsored by your County Museums. Donations to Macaulay House warmly welcomed but not required!
Participants will start out together at the kitchen table in front of a cheerful fire with some fun, short writing prompts to get everyone warmed up. Then participants will be free to go find a private spot to continue writing in the rest of the gracious, historic Macaulay House. End the evening back in the kitchen, and those who wish to can share the evening’s writing.
