The Loft Gallery at The Local Store – PEC is within the walls of a restored County dairy barn built in the 19th century. Enter through the old run-in’s sliding door painted with the Canadian flag into The Local Store – PEC. You will step into the area where the animals came in out of the weather to be fed and milked – now filled with the pottery, jewelry, books, basketry, wood working, fine art prints and original works of art created in Prince Edward County.
Climb the stairs and be wowed by the vastness of the old hay loft that is now The Loft Gallery, which showcases original art and fine art prints of all styles and types. The artists who have their work in The Loft Gallery must live in Prince Edward County. This is truly a collection of local talent.
Our Mandate
There is no place in the world like The County. This is a place of exceptional art, flavors and experiences. Until now, one would have to cover more than 400 square miles to see the work of The County’s best artists and artisans and local food producers.
