About Sheila Ascroft

Moving to Prince Edward County was life-changing. I knew I “saw” things differently, but I’d always put my visual observations into words. It wasn’t until I retired here in 2016 that I put down my pen and picked up a camera.

Wellington Rotary Beach is my go-to visual place. I walk there daily, year-round. I see photos everywhere: sparkling sun-lit waves, beach fog, snow-whipped waves battering the lighthouse, crazy ice patterns.

I first exhibited at the 24th annual Art in The County in 2017 and have been in the 25th and 26th shows as well. I’ve had two well-received month-long solo shows at Sugarbush Vineyards. This year my work is available to view and purchase on Arts on Main Gallery‘s website here.

If you would like to learn more, please visit my website or text me at 613-399-2893 or I now have a wee gallery in my residence in Wellington. Visitors are welcome by appointment only.
