Sarah Selecky

Sarah Selecky is an acclaimed author, master writing coach, and literary mentor whose unique approach bridges technical excellence with creative intuition, helping thousands of writers find genuine joy and success in their craft. Her collection This Cake Is for the Party was a finalist for the Giller Prize and Commonwealth Prize, and her novel Radiant Shimmering Light was optioned by HBO. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and studied Zen Buddhism and writing with renowned teacher Natalie Goldberg. Bringing decades of meditation and mindfulness practice to her creative teaching, she founded the Sarah Selecky Writing School, a transformative space where craft meets magic. Her book, Story Is a State of Mind: Writing and the Art of Creative Curiosity teaches writers how to awaken their intuition and create a sustainably smart and joyful writing life.
