Martha has a background in art history and a variety of studio classes and workshops but no formal art education. Her paintings have been accepted into juried shows in The County as well as in Florida where she has won several awards. Currently working in acrylic, she has also used oils, pastels and watercolour. Her subjects include landscape, still life, figurative work and abstraction.
For Martha, “Painting is a rewarding process combining intent, influence and intuition. It is always a process of experimentation and a series of corrections – just like life.”
She presently divides her time between Wellington and Bradenton, Florida, and her work is held in private collections in both Canada and the United States.
