Lois is a new resident of Prince Edward County living in Carrying Place. She worked for 30 years in health care living in London ON, Toronto and Whitby. Photography was her first artistic outlet and she travelled extensively at every opportunity with her camera. Her particular favourites are from Ireland where she and her husband have a second home.
She has displayed her photographs through the Scugog Art Gallery and local shops in Whitby in the past. Retirement offered the opportunity to learn and explore acrylic pour painting on different traditional painting surfaces and on functional objects such as wine glasses and jewelry. Most recently she is exploring the possibilities of printing using the gel plate and creating monoprints and collages.
Art for Lois is an exploration of colour and form in both representational and abstract styles. Much of her work can be viewed on her website loislens.com.
