Liane creates from her workshop in Prince Edward County. As a ceramic artist with a geophysics background, she identifies with the raw minerals in the clay and glazes – transformed through firing to create permanence.
She has worked in studios in Chile and Canada. Originally making functional pieces, she now creates whimsical objects that combine hand building, throwing, carving and prose.
Liane has had the fortune to live and work throughout Latin America, and parts of Africa, Asia and Australia. She is happiest in wild environments. Her work is influenced by nature and the many places she has encountered.
