“My art practice is guided by abstraction and material experimentation. This has led me to work in a range of mediums, from painting and dye application to photography and installation.
I have an ongoing curiosity with the blurring of form and environment and the shifting focus between material and ephemeral elements.
I hope to capture the movement of essential energies as they come and go.
My creative process is both intentional and intuitive. I’m looking for new ways of locating and articulating the visceral subtext of our experience in relation to the natural world, as we continually search for meaning and place.
It’s an ongoing and evolving process of listening and responding.”
Kelly Cade is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design. She has exhibited in both solo and group shows. Her work can be found in private and public collections throughout Canada, the United States, the U.K. and Australia.
