As a potter born, raised, and working out of Prince Edward County, I’ve been steadily honing my skills and craft over many years of apprenticeship under experienced master potters David Drown and Maggie Murdoch. As a result, I’ve developed an appreciation for the process of working with clay, glaze, and the sense of play involved in creating. The mindful approach to producing work has allowed me to explore many types of design while following where inspiration leads.
While creating most of the forms using various handbuilding techniques such as slab, hump and slump moulds, coiling, and manipulated extrusions; I’m able to play with the direction of design whether it regards form, texture, underglaze illustrations, or the nuances of a particular glaze.
