Winter Session at the County Arts Lab

Winter Session at the County Arts Lab
Registration is now open for the winter session at the County Arts Lab.

The winter session at the County Arts Lab is now open for registration! Courses will begin in February at our new 2500 sq ft space on the main level of the Picton Armoury, unit 2E. This session welcomes back some favourite teachers, including  Zac Kenny who will teach an intermediate level of his popular Abstract Painting course, which is perfect for anyone looking to take their painting to the next level! We will also offer another round of Irene Götz‘s excellent Beginner Drawing course for those looking to build a foundation in drawing.

For our writing community, we have a 6-week Flash Fiction course with Dawn Miller on Tuesday mornings, and for anyone wanting to explore the world of pattern design we are offering a 5-week Surface Pattern Design course with Amanda Smith (who you may recognize from her colour trend column in House & Home Magazine).

We are also thrilled to have Spark Box Studio join us to teach an exciting new course on Adobe Photoshop. This course is being offered in-person and online, and will include recordings of each class for students to refer back to.

For the kids, Megan Fitzgerald will teach young participants all about Landscape Painting, and our Sunday morning non-visual arts course returns with Improv for Kids with Lenny Epstein and Gavin North.

And in February, we have two workshops – one 2-day Punch Needle Workshop with Renee Lortie, and an evening workshop with Lucy Sterezylo on Intaglio Printing with a tetra pak carton as the plate and a pasta maker as the printing press!

Please click here to learn more and to register for all courses (including for kids ages 5-12) and workshops.
